Found a book?

Awesome. Have fun!

What’s the meaning of this?

The best recommendations come to us when we aren’t looking—you just stumbled upon one! Apparently someone loves this book so much that they took it upon themselves to literally share it with the world. Or at least with Schwelm.

Mind if I join in?

No, that would be marvelous!

There should be some stickers in your book for you to reuse. Stick one on your favourite book, stash the rest of them inside, and leave it somewhere around town. Add a personal note if you like—do whatever tickles your fancy.

If you enjoy the book you’ve found, you may keep it or put it back into circulation.

If your book came without any stickers or you simply need more, just get in touch or anonymously use the contact form (no cost to you, obviously).

Anything else?

Nope, that’s all there is to it. If you’re into it you can share your find with the hashtag #schwelmliest.

Who’s behind this?

Rest assured this isn’t some scheme by an author, publisher, book store, agency, influencer, or anything like that.

Schwelm Liest is pure love, free of ulterior motive, agenda or commercial aspirations. There is no small print. This site doesn’t even use analytics.

Isn’t this just Bookcrossing?

I mean, I guess? But if anything that’s convergent evolution and I feel like the local focus has a special coziness to it, don’t you?
